Pells Pool Community Association, who manage Pells Pool on behalf of Lewes Town Council, are recruiting for a Deputy Pool Manager.
There’s no such thing as a typical day at Pells Pool – that’s what makes the role so special. Here, you could be doing anything from unlocking the pool facilities and setting up, feeding the local ducks who come to visit, ordering supplies, supervising swimming sessions, and checking everything is perfect for our customers. You’ll ensure the pool facilities are all running as they should be – handling customer queries and bookings and managing the lifeguarding team. Your own development is just as important, as we’ll train you to sharpen your skills in this diverse role.
The key responsibilities of this role will be to support the Pool Manager. The Deputy Pool Manager will support the Pool Manager in all aspects of running the swimming pool, deputise for the Manager in their absence and undertake general lifeguarding duties, while ensuring the health, safety and enjoyment of all our swimmers. We are particularly interested to hear from candidates to have previous pool management experience, including pool plant management and water testing regime. The opportunity to teach swim classes is available for a qualified candidate or those wishing to become a qualified swim teacher.
