Lewes District Council’s Returning Officer has published a statement of persons nominated for the upcoming by-election in the Castle Ward.

The statement can be viewed on the Public Notices area of our website, and is also displayed outside the Town Hall.

The by-election is taking place because a vacancy arose in Office of Councillor for the Castle Ward of Lewes Town Council following the resignation of Councillor Oli Henman in November 2021 and an election was requested by electors. The deadline for nominations was the 7th of January 2022, and because there are multiple candidates standing for election, a poll will take place on February 3rd, 2022 for residents of Castle Ward in Lewes town to elect a councillor.
